Terror Attack on Passover Eve in Jerusalem

On the eve of Passover, a car ramming terror attack in Jerusalem left three pedestrians injured.

The incident took place in the Romema section of Jerusalem, where the victims were participating in the traditional burning of chametz, which occurs on the eve of Passover. This ritual involves burning any remaining leavened bread before the holiday begins. The vehicle struck two pedestrians at separate locations—Tchelet Mordechai Street and Yirmiyahu Street. An 18-year-old man sustained moderate head injuries, a 15-year-old was in mild condition, and a 20-year-old man also suffered mild injuries. Despite the severity of the collision, none of the victims suffered any serious consequences.

The Terrorists and Their Foiled Attempt

After the vehicle collision, two armed terrorists emerged, attempting further harm with their firearms. However, miraculously, the weapons malfunctioned, preventing additional injuries. Frustrated, the attackers discarded their non-functional firearms and fled the scene. The Jerusalem District forces, aided by an Israel Police Unit helicopter, swiftly launched a search operation, locating the discarded weapon and arresting the suspects hiding nearby.
