WELCOMING SHABBAT

Shabbat is more than a day of refraining from worldly activity.

When experienced to its spiritual fullest, its holiness enlightens all other days of the week.

We invite you to enhance your Shabbat with these words of Torah.

It’s Your Inner Light That Matters Most

It’s Your Inner Light That Matters Most

Weinstein, Rabbi Aryeh
January 21, 2021

“…how much time do you spend every day to develop your inner self?… to study some Torah or to pray? to develop self, your within, the life that shines within you? …when you do that, you will bring that into every encounter that you have, into every effort that you make. People will experience a different person because you will be illuminated from within.

…Young men and young [women] who study in a yeshiva, in a Jewish environment, when they spend so much time studying in-depth… about their values. [You can see when they interact] in the world with other people [how they shine light onto] others… These young boys and girls are spending time illuminating themselves and that illumination is felt wherever they go.

Every single one of us can do this every day.

This is a gift we must give ourselves, illuminating ourselves from within.”
