Studying Torah: Merging the Finite and the Infinite

The Torah engages G-d’s mind. So when you study… anything in Torah, your mind is engaged in the very same thing that engages G-d’s mind but in a language [that] man can understand.

 

That is the miracle, the gift of the Torah. It speaks in the language of men… We are grasping something that is inherently infinite! …G-d was able to condense His infinite mind, His infinite self, into the Torah.

 

Every letter in the Torah is a vessel, a vehicle for the infinite [which] reflects G-d’s infinite self…

 

So when you are grasping the Torah… you are grasping the infinite with [your] human, finite mind. That is astonishing!
