Am Yisrael (the nation of Israel) achieved an extremely high level of spirituality and connection to HKBH after viewing open miracles in Egypt, at the splitting of the sea, and experiencing Divine revelation when they received the Torah.  Yet they immediately sinned by making the golden calf.

They also experienced continuous miracles while journeying in the desert (Miriam’s well of water, the clouds of glory, the man, etc.), yet they complained multiple times. How can this be?

Christianity views these incidents as proof of Israel’s failure and consequent breaking of the covenant that HKBH had previously made with Israel. However, this is not actually the case.
