Hearing the Still Small Voice – Parshat Vayikra

by Sinclair, Rabbi Yaakov Asher

There is a way that Hashem speaks to us that is beyond language. There is the language of the emotions – the still small voice that speaks to us.

The first word in this parasha is Vayikra, “and He called…” Rashi says that the word Vayikra is an expression of affection and dearness, and that this is the way that the angels called to one another.

But maybe the only creation to whom Hashem called, the only creation that is attuned to that special broadcast of the emotions is man.
